Fred has had over 45 years of proven success supporting Indigenous individuals to recover from substance abuse and related experiences through a unique strengths based approach which focuses on mentorship and culture to help individuals to build more sustainable personal practices, skills, and networks. He has trained over 350 people to work with federal institutions to support traditional Indigenous recovery while creating traditional healing models.

Max FineDay is the CEO of Warshield, an Indigenous-owned public affairs firm that specializes in government relations, policy development, and project management across Canada. With over 10 years of experience in the public affairs space, he helps Chiefs, CEOs, and governments solve problems & get things done.
Warshield has helped broker millions of dollars in project funding, supported resource sector companies in gaining insights into the Indigenous community, and lobbied with Nations for project development dollars. Warshield is well versed in Indigenous community engagement practices that are politically sensitive and high stakes.
As CEO of Warshield, Max has offered political insights on Indigenous politics and reconciliation to The Canadian Press, National Post, Toronto Star and more.
Max currently resides in his community of Sweetgrass First Nation where he is a favourite Uncle to many nieces and nephews. He currently serves as a Board Member for the Wîcîwisis Academy, The Saskatchewan Indigenous Community Foundation, and Partners In Health Canada

Educator, Juris Doctor, young person with two-spirit knowledge from Little Pine First Nation, former Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) Youth Representative and male co-chair of the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) National Youth Council (NYC). Andre has experience with curriculum and program development, advocacy, Indigenous lawmaking, and youth development.
